Head of Training, Education & Development

My remit is to lead the scoping, design, delivery and evaluation of training, education and development opportunities offered to staff of all disciplines within Livewell Southwest and the wider communities of Plymouth, South Hams & West Devon. I am also responsible for the content development and delivery of training and support offered to external delegates via the Livewell Southwest Training Network. My special interests include neonatal care and I am a trained Frenulotomy Practitioner interested in tongue ties and their effects on infant feeding. Qualifications: Registered Nurse and Midwife with a Diploma in Midwifery, Bachelor of Nursing Degree and a Masters in Clinical Education, Resus Council UK ALS (Advanced life Support) provider, NLS (Newborn Life Support) provider and instructor and Generic Instructor Course trainer, clinical educational experience has included multi-disciplinary simulation within recognition of the deteriorating patient and preceptorship support programmes.
