Empathy and sympathy are key aspects of communication and helping others, especially those dealing with complex or difficult emotions.
Empathy is an emotional response to another’s emotional state, where you move beyond your own concerns to recognise their emotions, understand their perspective and offer appropriate assistance.
This workshop covers how to develop and display empathy in the workplace. Delegates will develop a better understanding of the different types of empathy and will learn how to develop their own ability to effectively empathise with others. We will also acknowledge some of the dangers in empathic communication and behaviour and how best to protect ourselves and our clients.
