Why take this course?

Our Mental Health First Aid (MHFAider®) course is designed for individuals who want to feel more confident in supporting people experiencing poor mental health — whether at work, in volunteer roles, or in everyday life.

You’ll gain the skills to:

  • Recognise when someone may be struggling
  • Start supportive conversations with confidence
  • Signpost to professional help
  • Promote understanding and reduce stigma
  • Practise empathy, active listening, and self-care

And when you complete the course, you’ll receive a three-year certification and become part of the largest MHFAider® community in England, with access to ongoing support and learning via the MHFAider Support App®
