Exciting things ahead in 2022

As we say goodbye to 2021 and a bright bubbly hello to 2022 I reflect on the last twelve months with sheer delight and optimism and I for one am incredibly proud of my team at The Livewell Training Academy and The Independence Centre. I am certain that the Livewell Training Academy and The Independence Centre remains robust and resilient to meet the challenges head-on and we will continue to provide the outstanding service that allows our delegates, employers, customers, and partners to train and buy with confidence – whatever this new year may bring. I respect the measures that have been taken as the priority must be to protect the NHS and reduce the spread of COVID 19. Whilst most are near to fully vaccinated, we all look forward to returning the country to some form of normality sooner rather than later. I am fully aware that many have suffered pain and loss and my thoughts and hearts are with you all.

In an era of unprecedented disruption, once again we are now challenged with another variant form of COVID the recent Omicron but here at Livewell Training Academy we will not be defeated. We will continue to keep everyone safe, both our delegates and our trainers and still ensuring the first class Livewell Training experience you are so used to. Our measures and new learning styles of training will never compromise in any way the warmth of our welcome or the efficiency and friendliness of our service at the Livewell Training Academy. It gives me immense pleasure and satisfaction to know that me and my team brought real pleasure and joy to all of you who visited us. We will strive to protect and ensure your experience of your learning is always a true haven and a refuge for the best learning and teaching hub around.

To welcome in 2022 we have some exciting news to share with you all. Whilst most were getting ready for the Christmas preparations, we were busy moving to new premises. We are delighted to tell you our new premises here at Foresters House Business Park Estover Plymouth provides over 10 acres of new commercial offices which include bright airy classrooms located within a tranquil woodland environment with uninterrupted views of Dartmoor and it’s wildlife.  In my opinion this all adds and makes for the best learning environment whilst training. All our classrooms have generous onsite free car parking, air conditioning (heating and cooling), IT supporting infrastructure, passenger lifts, WC’s and all fitted with their own individual kitchens. What more would you want from a training environment? Look at the photos below or pop in and see for yourself. We would be happy to walk you around and answer any questions you may have during your guided tour.

I am delighted to let you know that we have some new courses added to our already fully informative course calendar which can be delivered Face to Face or online at your personal choice.

Our first new course to introduce is Makaton Training and being delivered by the amazing Sarah Veitch who is a Speech and Language Therapist who has a wealth of knowledge and delivers the invaluable workshop training over two days. Makaton is a unique language programme that uses symbols, signs, and speech to enable people to communicate. It supports the development of essential communication skills such as attention and listening, comprehension memory, recall and organisation of language and expression.

With the full impact of the latest Omicron COVID-19 variant yet as unclear, Mental Health problems in England and Wales are growing at an alarming rate causing more and more strain not just on mental health services, but all healthcare sectors and I’m sure we all know someone who is sadly suffering from depression, anxiety or worst still having unpleasant thoughts. With this in mind we already offer an extensive bespoke package around Mental Health and Wellbeing, but we thought we would have a different aspect at looking more at levelling up individuals’ habits and lifestyle changes in order to boost their physical and mental fitness and businesses have seen a decline in staff absences as a result of these goal changing settings. We are pleased to welcome Jay Unwin to our already existing team of highly qualified trainers.

As we move forward into 2022, we at the Livewell Southwest Group would like to reiterate our appreciation for business owners large or small, delegates, and customers whose support, guidance and investment help keep and provides invaluable treatment and care to patients who require help from us at the NHS. Members, Partners, Delegates, Customers and Clients can rest assured that we will continue striving to provide outstanding and responsive top training and undoubtedly valuable customer service and satisfaction – and allow us to deliver with absolute confidence regardless of what 2022 may bring.

For now, we hold hope and optimism in our sight and plan for another successful year at Livewell Southwest Group and I would like to thank you for your continual support and thanks must go to my hard working and dedicated team who have done so much to keep our customers and our business safe and to bring good cheer, warmth, and sustenance safely to you.

Happy New Year to you all from us at the Livewell Group and on this first day of a New Year, lets raise a glass together to a brilliant, healthy and hopeful 2022.

Thank you
