Gill is an experienced self-employed trainer delivering courses around Mental Health Awareness in the commercial, statutory and voluntary sectors as well as a qualified teacher, delivering to the Adult Learning Sector. Gill is committed to delivering material around Mental Health Awareness having been involved with MHFA England since 2011 and is based in Plymouth. She has seen the growth of interest in MHFA over the last few years and is encouraged to see an increasing awareness of mental health discussions becoming part of our everyday lives.
Past initiatives for Gill have seen her involvement in projects looking at the connections between the commercial and voluntary sectors in unique ways to foster corporate social responsibility opportunities. Previous experience has been gained as a senior housing manager in the public sector; building her own company over a decade as an event’s organiser and followed by a role supporting small emerging creative businesses in the South West.
Since qualifying as a MHFA Instructor, Gill has delivered across sectors and brings to the training an interactive style, assisted by her teaching background that is delivered with empathy and humour which is illustrated by the feedback which has been consistently positive.
