Coaching skills for Managers

Forum Communication Coaching deliver an exciting range of communication skills training for the Livewell Training Network. Our facilitators are highly experienced at developing people’s communication skills at all levels in the workplace across a range of organisations including healthcare and the private and public sectors. We believe in enabling people to communicate better so that they can be the most effective people they can be.

Aim: To build confidence in taking a coaching approach with teams and team
members.

Objectives: An introduction to useful coaching and feedback models, including
GROW and MI.
Share experience with other managers
Recognise how to set boundaries and expectations as a manager
Practice in realistic situations and receive constructive feedback


Summary: Coaching is recognized as an effective management tool, encouraging team members to think more for themselves, increase motivation, and feel heard
and valued as part of the team. It also allows managers to set clear boundaries
and reduce the need and temptation to micro-manage.
