First Aid at work (3 day course)

The First Aid at Work training course, which conforms with HSE guidance, provides a comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces, giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations

Designed for those who need thorough first aid training.

This training is delivered by Livewell Southwests resuscitation officer Andrew Field.

Delivered in a classroom setting, this course offers a practical, hands-on approach that delivers the skills and confidence to use first aid skills in a real life situation.

This training will provide you with a 3 year qualification.

  • Adult resuscitation (CPR)
  • Allergic reaction
  • Asthma
  • Bone, muscle and joint injuries
  • Burns and scalds
  • Chest pains
  • Choking adult
  • Communication and casualty care
  • Eye injuries
  • Fainting
  • Head injuries
  • Defibrillator prompts and how to respond (theory based)
  • Defibrillator pad placement (theory based)
  • Low blood sugar
  • Managing an emergency
  • Minor and severe bleeding
  • Poisons and what to do if someone has been poisoned
  • Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)
  • Seizures
  • Shock
  • Spinal injuries
  • Stroke
  • Unresponsive adult

The price

This course costs £200+VAT per person for a full 3 day course, alternatively, we charge £1500+VAT for a full course of up to 12 delegates.
